Privacy Policy – Site Auditor (Snag & Punch List)

Last updated: 18 October 2026

Site Auditor ("the app") is made by Muhammad Anas. This policy explains what the app does with your information.

Your inspection data stays on your device

Sites, areas, items, notes, client names, addresses, company details and photos are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to me or to anyone else. A report leaves your device only when you share or print it yourself, and it goes only where you send it.

Camera and photos

The app uses the camera and your photo library only to attach photos to items and to add a company logo. Those photos stay on your device.

Optional usage analytics

Analytics are on by default. You can turn them off at any time in Settings → Share usage analytics, and nothing is sent while they are off.

While they are on, the app sends anonymous usage events to PostHog (PostHog, Inc.), which processes them on my behalf. These events record:

  • which screens you open
  • actions such as creating a site, area or item, adding photos (the count only), and generating, sharing or printing a report
  • the options you chose, such as an item's priority or the report language

They never include anything you typed, your photos, or client details.

Alongside those events, PostHog receives:

  • a random identifier the app creates for this installation, not linked to your name, email or advertising ID
  • device and app details: device model, operating system version, app version and language
  • your approximate location (country and city), which PostHog works out from your IP address. The IP address itself is then discarded, not stored.

I use this only to understand how the app is used so I can improve it. It is not used for advertising, not sold, and not shared with anyone other than PostHog. Data is encrypted in transit, and PostHog keeps it for up to one year. Turning analytics off in Settings stops all sending immediately.

Because the data is anonymous, I cannot tell which records came from you. Uninstalling the app removes everything the app stored on your device.

Children

The app is a work tool for property and site inspections and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date.
